Ohashi by Hiroshige
Value: $50,000
Printed 1858 Early Printing
Our Appraisal:
  1. margin notations tell a lot including when it was printed (left: Meiji ed. 1892, right: early printing 1858)
  2. notice the lowering cloud at top and the blue shading by bridge that is present in the right print but absent in the left print.
  3. the gray shading in bridge is also indicative of its early printing.
  4. color tones and paper texture are also key elements in determining value.
  5. the key block impressions are indicators that these prints were made from different wood blocks.
