Ioki Bun’ya (Bunsai). N: Ioki Fumiya. Go: Bun’ya (Bunsai). Western-style watercolorist and painter. Born in Mito; worked in Tokyo. Pupil of Takahashi Yuichi, Takahashi Genkichi, Asai Chu, Koyama Shotaro. Better known as a botanist, specializing in Alpine plants. Produced highly detailed watercolors and realistic paintings of flowers and plants.
